Rewards Program Terms
Draft — September 30, 2026
Sidequest Rewards (the "Program") lets you earn Sidequest credit when accounts you refer subscribe to a paid Sidequest plan. The Program is offered by Good Company Works, One Culver, 10000 Washington Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90232 ("Sidequest," "we," "us").
These Rewards Program Terms (the "Rewards Terms") are part of the Sidequest Terms of Service (the "Terms"). Capitalized words not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms. If these Rewards Terms and the Terms conflict on a Program matter, these Rewards Terms control.
You accept these Rewards Terms when you share your invite link, share a plan while signed in, or accept credit under the Program.
Key definitions
- Referrer: the account holder who shares an invite link or plan link.
- Referral: a new Sidequest account created through a Referrer's link and attributed to that Referrer under Section 3.
- Paid Referral: a Referral currently subscribed to, and paying for, a paid plan (Plus or Crew). An account on Free or in a trial is not a Paid Referral.
- Sidequest Credit: a promotional, non-cash balance on your account that applies to Sidequest charges.
2. Eligibility
To take part, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old and hold a Sidequest account in good standing.
- Be a legal resident of the United States. [Counsel to confirm geographic scope.]
- If you use Sidequest for a school, church, daycare, or other organization, have authority to accept these Rewards Terms for that organization. Credit then belongs to the organization's account.
Employees and contractors of Good Company Works may share invite links but do not earn credit. [Confirm.]
A Referral must be a new Sidequest account that has never held a Sidequest subscription or started a Sidequest trial.
3. How referrals are tracked
Every account gets a personal invite link (sidequestkids.com/r/{your handle}) and an invite code. Any plan you share or that is remixed from your shared plan also carries your referral code. Sharing a plan counts as an invite.
A new account is attributed to you when it signs up within 30 days of last opening your link. If someone opens links from more than one Referrer, the most recent link opened before sign-up wins. An account can be attributed to only one Referrer, and attribution cannot be changed after sign-up.
We track attribution with cookies and similar technology described in our Privacy Policy. If cookies are blocked or cleared, or the account signs up without using your link or code, we may be unable to attribute it. We cannot add referrals manually.
Your Rewards page shows each referral by display name or initial and status (Invited, Trialing, Paid, Canceled). It never shows another account's email or other personal details.
4. Welcome credit for referred accounts
A Referral gets $10 in Sidequest Credit after its first paid invoice for Plus or Crew is successfully paid.
- Monthly plans: the $10 applies automatically to the next invoice.
- Annual plans: the $10 comes off the first annual payment at checkout ($95.88 becomes $85.88 for Plus; $191.88 becomes $181.88 for Crew).
Referrals get the same 14-day free trial as every new account. A payment card is required to start the trial, and the plan renews automatically on day 15 unless canceled. Referrals receive no extended trial. Each account can receive the welcome credit once.
5. Rewards for referrers
You earn two kinds of Sidequest Credit.
First-payment bonus. $5 the first time each Referral pays for a paid plan. Each Referral earns this bonus once.
Recurring credit. A percentage of what each Paid Referral spends, every month that account keeps paying. Your rate depends on how many Paid Referrals you have:
| Paid Referrals | Your rate | Example: monthly credit if all are on Plus ($9.99/mo) |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0% | $0.00 |
| 1–2 | 10% | $1.00–$2.00 |
| 3–4 | 15% | $4.50–$5.99 |
| 5–9 | 20% | $9.99–$17.98 |
| 10 or more | 25% (maximum) | $24.98 or more |
How recurring credit is calculated:
- What counts as spend: subscription charges, event packs, top-ups, and add-ons the Referral actually pays, minus refunds, credits, discounts, and taxes.
- Annual plans count at their monthly equivalent ($7.99 for Plus; $15.99 for Crew) for each month of the term, not as one lump sum.
- Your rate is set by your number of Paid Referrals at the time each Referral's payment is made. If Referrals cancel or move to Free, your count and rate can go down for future payments. Credit you have already earned keeps its original amount.
- Credit is calculated on what the Referral pays, so a Referral's charge covered by its own Sidequest Credit does not earn you recurring credit. [Confirm.]
Examples on the Rewards page and calculator are illustrations. Your actual credit is what appears in your account.
6. Using your credit
Pending, then available. Referrer credit (the $5 bonus and recurring credit) is pending for 30 days after it is earned, then becomes available. The welcome credit in Section 4 is available as soon as it is granted.
Applied automatically. Available credit applies to your next Sidequest charges (subscriptions, event packs, top-ups, add-ons, and trip packs) before your payment card is charged. If credit covers a full invoice, your card is not charged. You cannot choose to save credit for later.
What credit is. Sidequest Credit is a promotional discount on Sidequest purchases. It has no cash value, and you cannot redeem it for cash, sell it, transfer it, or combine it with another account's balance, except where the law requires otherwise.
How long it lasts. Credit stays on your account while your account is open. If you close your account, unused credit ends. If your paid plan ends, credit stays on your account for 12 months and applies if you subscribe again; after that, it expires. [Counsel to confirm expiration terms under California law.]
7. Reversals and adjustments
We may reverse or adjust credit when the payment it came from does not hold up. That includes when:
- a Referral's payment is refunded, charged back, or fails;
- the credit was issued by mistake or through a system error; or
- the credit came from activity that breaks Section 8.
We reverse pending credit first. If the credit has already been used, we may subtract the amount from future credit you earn. We will not charge your payment card to recover reversed credit, except credit obtained by fraud. [Confirm.]
We show every grant, reversal, and adjustment on your Rewards page.
8. Sharing the right way
Share Sidequest with people and groups you know, on your own channels: texts, emails, group chats, your social profiles, and community newsletters you run.
You may not:
- refer yourself, including through a second account, another email address, or a payment method you control;
- create or use fake, duplicate, or automated accounts;
- send spam, bulk messages to people you don't know, or automated texts or calls;
- buy ads that use "Sidequest" or similar names or misspellings as keywords, or post your link on coupon, deal, or cashback sites;
- say you speak for Sidequest, or describe Sidequest, its plans, or these rewards inaccurately; or
- offer people money, gifts, or other incentives to use your link.
An account counts as a self-referral if it is the same account as the Referrer or uses the same payment method. Self-referrals earn no credit for either side.
If we reasonably believe an account has broken this Section, we may withhold or reverse credit, remove attribution, and suspend that account from the Program. We will tell you what we found and give you a way to respond. Breaking these rules may also break the Terms.
9. Changes and ending the Program
We may change these Rewards Terms, including rates, bonuses, and the welcome credit. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a material change by email and on your Rewards page.
Changes apply only going forward. Credit already earned, pending or available, keeps its amount and terms. A Referral who signs up before a change keeps the welcome credit shown when they signed up.
We may end the Program with 30 days' notice. Credit earned before the end date remains usable under Section 6. You may stop taking part at any time by no longer sharing your links.
10. Taxes
Sidequest Credit is a discount on Sidequest purchases. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to credit you receive. [Counsel to confirm reporting treatment.]
11. Disputes and contact
The Terms govern any dispute about the Program, including the Terms' sections on governing law (California), individual arbitration, the class action waiver, and the 30-day opt-out.
